Our story began in 1997. Back then we were a start-up aiming to build effective communication channels and touch-base points between young graduates and employers. Today, we are the biggest hub for employment in Greece thus daily empowering, via our services, an all-inclusive workforce and every employer to bridge the gap of skills, matching and employability. Every month, nearly 500.000 job seekers trust kariera.gr to help them find a job among 12.000 employers using our portal.

For our team, job search is about more than just assisting people finding a job. It’s about empowering people to explore their talents and get the job they love while connecting them to their Employer of choice. We help people and businesses grow through technological platforms, services and events that unite job search, skills, education, training and recruiting. We dare to co-design the future of work with continuous, in-depth primary research towards current and future workforce generations. 1997

Kariera SA is born by a couple of fellow graduate students at Athens University of Business and Economics, who launched a free press magazine about careers for young graduates.
1999

The team organized the first Career Fair for young professionals in Greece.
2000

- Kariera.gr is launched on Valentine’s day to seek for the perfect match between employers and candidates.
- Our company gets awarded for its Business Excellence by the President of Greece.
2002

Kariera.gr publishes the first Career Guide manual
2007

CareerBuilder LLC. acquires kariera.gr which gets enhanced technologically in order to provide all users, both candidates and employers, a user-friendly environment, a continuous improvement of services and the deployment of new ones.
2010

kariera.gr hosts the first Interview Days Fairs - targeted sectoral career fairs, among which Developers Day, targeted to IT professionals
2014

kariera.gr along with AUEB conduct the biggest research in a European country for Gen Y Workforce upcoming trends.
2016

Coding School, powered by Kariera.gr, is born; An innovative hub exclusively for IT professionals looking to build a career as well as get educated in new technologies and connect to relative Employers
2019

Kariera.gr gets the Gold Award at Hellenic Responsible Business Awards for “Fighting Unemployment” initiatives.
2020

- Kariera.gr is awarded with 4 Responsible Business Awards for Sustainable Development business actions. Moreover, Developers Day Digital gets a Gold Award at Event Awards 2020 for Best Pivot From Physical to Virtual.
- Kariera.gr gets acquired by a Greek investor group including one of its Founders, Mr. Theofilos Vasileiadis, a talent acquisition industry veteran and serial entrepreneur. Through an on-going partnership agreement, Kariera.gr continues to offer a range of CareerBuilder international services to clients including custom career sites, Talent Network, CBAT and Social Referral.
- Kariera.gr acquires Human Factor, a boutique HR company with a strong executive search team and a robust suite of tech solutions catering a series of major clients, including Pfizer in Greece.
