This year Developers Day – Thessaloniki puts on its high-tech suit and is ready to level up your experience. Join us on June 13 at Megaro Mousikis, from 10:00 to 18:00, to discover new ideas, connect with the community and push your limits because here, Limits Not Found.

Most AI code review tools catch bugs and style violations — Copilot, CodeRabbit, Cursor already do that well. This talk is about a different problem: how do you teach AI to review architectural thinking? I built a code review engine that runs on student PRs in GitHub Actions, grounded in proprietary React mental models: state colocation, derived state, composition patterns, lifting state. It doesn’t ask “is this a bug?” It asks “does this engineer understand why state should live here?” Attendees will learn how to combine static pattern detection (YAML rules with confidence scores and guard conditions) with LLM reasoning to produce feedback that goes beyond linting — feedback that coaches rather than criticizes. They’ll see why structured JSON output, hallucination filtering, and confidence gating are essential for production reliability, and how to encode years of principal-level judgment into a format an LLM can reason with. |
Andreas Symeonidis, Professor of Software Engineering, ECE AUTH – Founder, Cyclopt
During this talk we’ll discuss how the software engineering landscape has changed the last few years after the establishment of Vibe and Agentic coding. We’re to present state-of-practice tools, and stress the importance of secure coding, secure delivery and secure AI governance. We’re is going to preach in favor of DevSecOps, the latest and most prominent trend in Software Engineeing.
Nikos Zinas, Head of Engineer, PBLWorks
The job of writing software has changed more in the last eighteen months than in the previous ten years. Most of what’s said publicly is framed as either a threat or a sales pitch, and neither has been particularly useful to the people actually doing the work.
This is the talk Nikos would want to hear if he were early in his career today. He steps back and asks a simpler question: what is this job actually becoming?

Exploring how AI is reshaping the day-to-day reality of developers — from software development workflows and code quality to security concerns and the evolving role of the software engineer in the years ahead. Through practical examples, personal experience and real-world perspectives, the discussion will focus on what works and what does not in AI tools for developers, the trade-off between speed and quality, the new security risks introduced by code assistants, and what all these changes mean especially for younger developers. The session will also include time for audience questions.

Real-world Delivery: Από το μηδέν στο deployment (Web & Cloud) σε χρόνο μηδέν.
Yianni Kolokythas, Software Engineering Director, BETA CAE Systems
AI is moving beyond simple chatbots. In this workshop, we will explore how Large Language Models can become “agents”: systems that can reason, use tools, retrieve knowledge, and complete tasks through natural-language instructions.
Starting from the basics of LLMs and the OpenAI SDK, we will build up to practical agentic AI concepts such as tool calling, multi-step execution, agent orchestration, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector stores, and the emerging concept of Claude Skills for packaging reusable AI capabilities. Through simple Python examples, participants will see how an AI assistant can move from answering questions to following a process, using external knowledge, and automating useful workflows.
This session is ideal for developers, engineers, students, and tech enthusiasts who want a clear, practical introduction to one of the most important shifts in AI application development. No deep AI background is required, just curiosity and a basic understanding of programming.
By the end, attendees will understand what AI agents are, how reusable skills fit into the agentic AI landscape, and how to start building their own.

Two missions. One uncomfortable truth: the code your AI writes in seconds can take weeks to secure. Build features for your app using AI assistants, then turn around and identify every issue you accidentally introduced. Live leaderboard, real code, real consequences and a workflow you can take back to your team on Monday.

Σε αυτό το workshop θα δούμε live πώς χτίζεται μια σύγχρονη web εφαρμογή με Elixir και Phoenix — από το πρώτο mix phx.new μέχρι real-time UI με LiveView, background jobs, caching, observability και integrations με εξωτερικές υπηρεσίες, συμπεριλαμβανομένων AI providers.
